It’s been a while since I’ve written, but it’s actually my birthday here as I’m writing this, and this time of year always makes me a bit reflective. So one of the things I’ve decided to do is to get back into the discipline of writing about my thoughts and learnings as I continue upon my entrepreneurial journey.

In the past 2 years since my last post, I’ve become a hands-on director at two Saas businesses – although they’re at very different stages, both of which are currently thriving. However it has not all been smooth sailing… I also launched a new venture, which ultimately failed. There are many new insights and learnings to draw from here!
So why pick up writing here again? Surely I’m busy enough running the growth activities for my current companies? Definitely – which is why I haven’t written for such a long time! But I’ve missed sharing my journey here and after some thought, I’ve realised the value that this blog has – both to others, and myself. Ultimately, the purpose of this blog is twofold;
- Firstly, it’s a selfish endeavour as writing my thoughts out helps me gain clarity and learn the lessons I need to learn. As Joan Didion famously said; “I don’t know what I think until I write it down.”
- And secondly, I hope to inspire others to stretch themselves a little more and increase their impact in the world. I’m so frustrated when I see people with talent failing to take the steps they need to achieve their goals and I know it helps to see others in similar positions pushing on through. Personally, I’ve struggled to find people I identify with following a similar journey to myself (there is a serious shortage of women out there!). So I hope there are others that might relate to my stories for whom I can ‘normalise’ these endeavours!
I’m aiming to make these new blog posts short and snappy – with clear, actionable takeaways. If you have any suggestions or ideas for me, please drop me a line.
Of course, if you’d rather not hear from me, please feel free to unsubscribe as well!
