DoTheThings is not like other business blogs.
- If you’re looking for a place that argues the pros and cons of a particular nuance in business, you’re in the wrong place.
- If you’re looking to just “talk” about business without taking action, you’re in the wrong place.
- And if you want to argue the theory of something without having ever put it into practise, you’re in the wrong place.
Instead, we’re for business owners and entrepreneurs in the thick of it.
We’re For The “Doers”
DoTheThings is for entrepreneurs and business people that actually get things done.
We don’t care about what the theory says we should do, we care about what works. In real life. We understand that it doesn’t matter how much we know, it matters what we do with that knowledge. And most of all, we know that it all comes down to the actions we take to things done.
Why “DoTheThings”?
The name for DoTheThings came about about after seeing so many entrepreneurs (and would-be entrepreneurs!) intellectualise and theorise about how to start and run a business. They’d get stuck in the planning stages – forever talking about what they’re going to do, weighing up different options, but never actually doing much of anything!
These were smart people who knew a lot about business but would neglect to take the necessary actions to start or grow their own business.
But having been there and done that, we know it doesn’t work that way!
Doing the things – and often the hard things – is what really moves the needle.
Who’s Behind DoTheThings?
Fiona Adler (ie me!). I started DoTheThings to share some of my practical experiences in starting, growing and selling several businesses.
Like many of you, I love learning about business (which is why I completed an MBA and always have a stack of business books I’m reading). But most of all, I’m passionate about distilling my experiences and the various theories I’ve learned, into something that’s immediately actionable for real businesses in the thick of it.
